应采用节水节能型管材。管材的卫生性能、耐腐性能及管壁粗糙度直接影响到建筑给水系统节水节能效果。应禁止将镀锌钢管设计为生活给水管材,由于镀锌钢管在使用中易产生腐蚀、生锈、结垢、泄漏及堵塞等弊病从而对水质造成严重的二次污染,微观上表现为水样大肠肝菌及细菌总数严重超标,宏观上为“黄水”、“黑水”、“红水”等现象,水质恶化,影响人们的生活质量,并导致水资源的巨大浪费,同时因锈蚀而形成的粗糙内壁使管网阻力大增,浪费加压能量。应积极推广采用新型给水管材,如塑料管材(PE、PPR、UPVC等)及复合材料管材(钢塑复合管、铝塑复合管等),以凸显管材的节水节能效果。
